Your role
This is a Team Leader - Nights, 12 month fixed term contract role. As a Team Leader, your mission is to lead and support a team of production operators to deliver safe, high‑quality, and efficient day-to-day operations within their production zone . You will report to the Production Manager. The role focuses on effecitve front line leadership, building team capability, driving engagement, and fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement. Using the VTPS approach, the Team Leader empowers the team members to identify issues, solve problems, and improve processes to make them safer, easier, better, faster and more cost effective without compromising safety or quality.
You will
- Role model fair, proactive and consistent people management, addressing absence, conduct, and capability issues professionally and in line with policy
- Coordinate and supervise day to day operations within the production zone to deliver output, service, product availability and responsiveness in line with the production plan
- Ensure all activities within the zone are carried out in line with safety procedures, statutory requirements and site standards
- Communicate clearly and frequently to ensure strong information flow, alignment and shared ownership across teams and departments
- Work closely with planning and support functions to ensure resources, materials and priorities are aligned with customer demand and delivery commitments

- 3 years experience of leading, motivating and developing a team
- Experience of working in a manufacturing environment
- A deep understanding of manufacturing process and best practice
- Capability to lead and motivate a team
- Must be able to work with detailed information in a logical and organised way
- Excellent communication skills both written and oral
- Confident with working on own initiative
- Excellent IT literacy, being a competent user of MS office
- Excellent time management skills
- Have a responsible approach to H&S of themselves and others
- Good interpersonal and team working skills

Job location
This role requires you to work on-site at our office in Eastbourne, United Kingdom (GB). You will be part of a dynamic team and enjoy the benefits of face-to-face collaboration.
The shift will operate from 22.00 to 06.00 Monday to Thursday and 17.30 to 23.30 on a Friday.
