We are looking for a full-time Intern (m/f/d) in Business Controlling to join us.
Your role
Reporting to Central Europe ITBA Business Controlling Manager, this assignment is a key opportunity to strengthen process transparency, improve overall governance, preparing the ground for a possible future Atlas Copco internal audit. It combines process documentation, stakeholder coordination, and continuous improvement in a high-impact project environment.
In addition, you will support Business Controlling Manager in areas related to credit management, creating dashboards and updating current policy, and Sustainability reporting improvements.
- Reviewing and filling in Audit programs applicable to the company processes, involving all relevant stakeholders
- Lead end-to-end mapping and documentation of all relevant company processes
- Detect process gaps, inconsistencies, and improvement opportunities
- Engage with the project lead, departments, and key stakeholders to align expectations and deliverables
- Monitor project progress and deliver regular, transparent status updates
- Establish a central documentation structure, such as SharePoint, to ensure transparency and accessibility
- Prepare a proposal for implementation plan to close processes gaps and inconsistencies
- Regarding Business Controlling Credit Management, assist ITBA Business Controlling Manager in reviewing and updating the existing Credit Control Policy and support the implementation of a Credit Control Dashboard for enhanced oversight and reporting
- In the area of Sustainability Atlas Copco reporting, design, with the support of ITBA Quality Manager, the basis for a transparent and auditable process reporting landscape company. Establishing a central documentation structure (e.g. in SharePoint), through the structured recording, standardization and documentation of all relevant processes of GPS Sustainability reporting. Creating uniform process descriptions (incl. inputs, outputs, roles, interfaces)

- You are currently enrolled at a university and need to complete a mandatory internship as part of your studies.
- You are studying Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related field.
- You are interested in business processes, controlling, process management and business control, and you are open to learning new things.
- You are proactive, detail-oriented, analytical and results-driven, with a structured, precise and quality-focused working style.
- You are able to document complex topics clearly and understandably and enjoy bringing transparency to processes and responsibilities.
- You are confident using Microsoft Office, especially Excel including working with complex datasets and Power Pivot or Power Query.
- Experience with process or documentation tools is an advantage.
- You communicate well in English; German language skills are a plus.
- You are curious, motivated and enjoy working together with others in a friendly team environment.
