Job purpose

We’re Hiring: Business Development Manager – Energy Markets & Smart Bolting (South Europe)

 

Atlas Copco is introducing a strategic role to accelerate business development in the ENERGY segment across Southern Europe. This position offers high growth potential and requires strong technical and commercial expertise.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Business Development & Sales Enablement

    • Maintain and grow the ENERGY sales funnel with a focus on Smart Bolting solutions
    • Execute value-based, solution-oriented sales for both direct and indirect channels
    • Drive customer visits, product demonstrations, and technical presentations
    • Consolidate and appoint a network of bolting specialists (distributors, resellers)
    • Promote transactional sales via Atlas Copco’s e-commerce platform

Market Strategy & Full Potential Plan

    • Estimate market potential and share for fossil and renewable energy segments
    • Map customers and applications to identify growth opportunities
    • Analyze competitive landscape and maintain updated documentation

Cross-functional Collaboration

    • Work closely with local sales teams (Spain, Portugal, Morocco) and global task force
    • Act as the interface between South Europe and the UK product company
    • Share product feedback and market needs with global development teams

Competence Development

    • Deliver product training and marketing material to local sales teams
    • Organize technical training for distributors and resellers
    • Build expertise in bolting software (Bolting Cloud, TN8) and torque tools portfolio

Profile

✔ Strong technical knowledge of bolting technology and energy applications (fossil & renewable)
✔ Hands-on mentality: comfortable in training rooms, offices, and on-site environments
✔ Proven sales skills and CRM experience (Salesforce)
✔ Excellent communication skills across all levels
✔ Willingness to travel extensively (>50%) within South Europe
✔ Languages: French, English, Spanish (Italian is a plus)​

📍 Region: France, Belgium, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Morocco – based in France

You will join our customer center based in Frépillon (95). You will be part of a dynamic field team and will regularly travel to visit customers in a designated area.
