Welder

Your role
The Welder I is responsible for permanently joining steel, stainless steel, and/or aluminum components together through the application of appropriate welding techniques. This role will be part of the Manufacturing team and report to a Production Manager. Demonstrate best practice approach in the areas of safety, quality, timeliness of delivery, and efficiency.
Responsibilities:
• Familiarization with basic department functions, including cut & prep, bending, and part modification.
• Use of measuring devices including tape measure.
• Follow blueprints to meet product specifications and maintain tight tolerances.
• Align components using calipers, rulers etc. and clamp pieces.
• Weld components using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment in various positions (vertical, horizontal, or overhead).
• Wear Personal Protective Equipment as required by job detail.
• Participate in training provided by seasoned employees to learn basic department functions.
• Maintain tools and equipment in a clean, orderly, and safe manner.
• Comply with company policies and procedures, paying special attention to safety requirements.

Skills/Knowledge/Experience:
• High school diploma or GED
• Previous industry experience preferred.
• 1+ year of experience interpreting and following written and verbal work instructions, mechanical and electrical schematics and engineering mechanical drawings.
• Good written and communication skills
• Work effectively in a fast-paced dynamic environment while following safety and process controls.
• Work with a team and independently.

Salary:
$20-$26 per hour

This role requires you to work on-site at our office in Fort Collins, CO. You will be part of a dynamic team and enjoy the benefits of face-to-face collaboration.
