Business Controller South Europe (H/F)

Your role
As a Business Controller, you'll be at the heart of our financial operations, steering the organization's accounting functions and empowering strategic financial decisions through precise and timely reporting. Reporting directly to the General Manager, you'll contribute significantly to our overall success.
The overall responsibility for the Business Controller is to safeguard a good internal control environment in order to protect the company assets as well as safeguarding that financial reporting and accounting matters are in accordance with “The way we do things” and local statutory accounting practice. Furthermore the responsibility is also to support and advise the General Manager within business control areas as well as being an important speaking partner and advise the managers in ACTA CC South Europe in their work with core business and customer focus.
Your day-to-day
The main tasks and responsibilities are specified as, but not limited to:
- To achieve results as per objectives agreed with the General Manager.
- Take leadership in developing, implementation and follow up of all administrative processes for the Region.
- Safeguard that reporting procedures are in line with ”The way we do things” as well as local laws and regulations, that red flags are high-lighted and that an open communication with internal and external parties is maintained.
- Group reporting and coordination of the Planning process including plans, targets and continuously updated expectancies.
- Compliance of statutory accounts, legal and tax reporting.
- Pro-active management of credit control, collection and customer financing
- Cash and asset management
- Steering of internal and external service providers (example: Finance Hub) in finance, administration and IT; assure quality and timeliness of all services
- Internal control
- Safeguard a professional development for all employees within your area of responsibility.
- Comply and assure compliance by staff and partners to the Atlas Copco Business Code Of Practice with no exceptions
The Business Controller is responsible to make sure that ”The Way We Do Things” is followed in all aspects. Your role also includes a responsibility for developing the Sales organisation in the area of ensuring that people concerned are aware of the principles and guidelines for business control . This includes financial training and communication within the Customer Centre.
Your skills and experience
- University degree as well as broad experience within Financial Management or Business Control
- Solid knowledge within the ISO standards regarding Safety, Health, Environment and Quality.
- Good knowledge of MS Office, Lotus Notes and SAP
- Good knowledge of labour laws and the collective agreements within the Region
- Fluent in English and good knowledge in French, both in writing and speaking
