Human Resources Business Partner/Team Leader, level II, Local-HRTL

Your role
Nano Purification Solutions employs around hundred employees here in the UK and US and from its manufacturing bases serves hundreds of customers all over the world. We have a strong brand name in the design and manufacture of quality solutions for the treatment of compressed air, as well as products in the nitrogen generation gas sector.
MSS primary business is the manufacture of high-pressure nitrogen generation systems for laser cutting and other industrial applications. They also supply a range of other laser gas products including gas mixing systems, high pressure laser gas filtration, laser air cutting systems and laser gas flow monitoring systems.
This role will also support MSS Ltd based in Rugby with around 30 employees and will require regular travel to this location.
This position will report directly to the General Manager of Nano Purification Solutions Ltd and will be actively involved in rolling out the strategic direction and growth aspects of the business.
This is a new role within the Nano/MSS business. We are looking for an individual who is self-motivated and has the drive to build a strong Human Resources function within the business, supported by local management and the wider large Group HR function.
The Human Resources Business Partner is to strategically align HR initiatives with business objectives to drive organisational success in a dynamic and complex environment and by fostering a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and innovation by:
- Building Strong Relationships: Cultivating trust and effective communication with all stakeholders, including employees, managers, and senior leadership, to understand their needs and provide tailored HR solutions.
- Driving Talent Management: Implementing robust talent acquisition, development, and retention strategies to ensure the organization attracts and retains top talent, while promoting diversity and inclusion.
- Enhancing Employee Experience: Creating a positive and engaging work environment by addressing employee concerns, promoting well-being, and facilitating professional growth opportunities.
- Supporting Organisational Change: Leading and managing change initiatives to ensure smooth transitions and alignment with the company's strategic goals, while minimizing disruption and maintaining employee morale.
- Ensuring Compliance and Best Practices: Upholding legal and regulatory compliance and implementing HR best practices to mitigate risks and enhance operational efficiency.
- Promoting a Culture of Excellence: Encouraging a culture of high performance, accountability, and continuous learning to drive business results and support the company's mission, vision, and values.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure close collaboration with senior leaders to provide strategic HR insights that drive business outcomes and advance organizational capabilities and effectiveness.
- Manage employee relations issues, resolving conflicts in accordance with local legislation and company guidelines.
- Provide advice on new legislation and employee relations issues and maintain company policies and best practice in line with current trends as well as future employment legislation. Including a competitive benefits package.
- Advise, coach and support managers in how to coach their teams, conducting performance reviews, disciplinary and grievance hearings up to and including dismissals.
- Provide advice and guidance to all employees on hire to retire including HR including policies, procedures and other employment matters highlighting any areas of concern.
- Support managers with performance development and enabling requirements and initiatives, closing skills gaps, with a key focus on behaviours, competencies, and improved time to competence.
- Develop the talent acquisition strategy to ensure high quality employees, with the right skills, experience and qualifications are recruited timely and in line with workforce planning and ensuring a sound succession-planning methodology for a continued talent pipeline.
- Producing job offers, T&C’s and all associated correspondence including completing pre-employment activities and Induction & training plans for all new joiners. Updating all company systems.
- Manage the Company reference process including a system for chasing outstanding references and highlighting areas of concern. This will include Right to Work checks.
- Produce all correspondence regarding variations to employment contracts and terms and conditions.
- Manage the leaver process and conduct exit interviews, monitoring trends and providing feed back to the company and line managers. This may include restructuring, reorganising, and redundancy programmes.
- Ensure all employee data relating to payroll is processed in line with the payroll timetable.
- Promote a culture of diversity, inclusion, and belonging and drive and improve employee engagement and retention using Insight feedback and workshops.
- Manage sickness absence process, occupational health, and wellbeing initiatives.
- Participate, promote, and assist with employee branding and engagement activities.
- Develop and deliver HR training sessions for employees and managers.
- Maintain accurate master data for key HR KPI’s and metrics and people analytics to better understand trends and assist in key people management decisions and actions. Produce management reports and accurately report data for monthly & quarterly reporting, Management meetings, and all Board meetings.
- To undertake ad-hoc projects and duties as required.
Your skills and experience
- CIPD Qualified
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and able to deal with conflict.
- HR experience within a fast-paced environment; high levels of accuracy and excellent coordination and organisational skills, along with a professional customer focused work ethic.
- Hardworking and resilient, with a pragmatic and professional approach that delivers results in a timely manner.
- Confident at dealing with a demanding customer group, with sound business acumen skills and logical thinking.

This role will be based at the Nano - Gateshead location, however regular on-site visits will be required at MSS - Rugby office location.
