Your Role

Position Summary:

The Business Area Security Officer (BASO) will serve as the primary point of contact between the Group Security function and their assigned business unit, Compressor Technique. The BASO is generally responsible for maintaining a strategic relationship with the Compressor Technique business unit and its divisions, or function that they are aligned to. This is done to ensure that cybersecurity is incorporated into the culture of the Atlas Copco Group.  

 

Key Responsibilities:

This role will be the subject matter expert (SME) between Enterprise-wide Security organization and the Compressor Technique business area in the development of appropriate IT Security policies, standards, and frameworks.

In this role you will coordinate, guide resources (e.g., security architects, Solution & product owners) to achieve the desired business outcome. You will also continuously monitor Security trends to anticipate and plan for future impact of cyber risk on your specific business unit (Compressor Technique) or function. Follow all risk remediation protocols to ensure issues are mitigated, risks are accounted for and exceptions are tracked in accordance with the Group Security frameworks, policies and standards.


You will work with the CT divisional management to align funding requirements for strategic initiatives. This role will participate in cybersecurity and business-related steerco’s and management meetings. Educate business stakeholders on cybersecurity-related matters to increase awareness and improve the security culture.


You need to have the ability to develop an understand our business goals and reframe risk discussions in business terms. Your engagement has an constructive tone working with business stakeholders regarding cybersecurity issues. Furthermore, you need to be able to establish risk ownership and accountability within the business line and you have the knowledge on how to inform business stakeholders of the risk implications of critical decisions by combining empirical analysis with expert judgment to assess business decisions. You can also challenge business partners’ assumptions about value drivers and present an alternate perspective.

 
To succeed, you will need  

To become a successful Business Area Security Officer candidate, we think that you will have the expertise, knowledge and skills described below:

 

- You have a bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Security or a related field (relevant certifications like CISSP, CISM, or GIAC are a plus). And 5-8 years of experience working in risk management, governance, and regulatory requirements related to cybersecurity with a specific focus on business outcomes and service delivery.

 

 - You are experienced in working with and preferably leading a global, cross functional team and your ability to understand internal organizational environments and their relationship to the external business environment is known. Also, your knowledge of business operations and your ability to convey complex information risk and security issues in a manner that is easily understood and actionable and constructively challenges prevailing thoughts and processes.

 

- You consistently, effectively defend ideas and solutions and knows industry frameworks and standards (e.g., NIST, CIS Controls, PCI DSS).

 

- You have a strong understanding of network and system security principles and best practices and are up to date when it comes to knowledge of emerging security threats and trends.

Your personal characteristics is to have the accessibility and ability to interface with and build credibility and relationships with stakeholders. You are confident, energetic self-starter and have strong communication skills. Your judgment is good and your sense of urgency demonstrated commitment to high standards of ethics, regulatory compliance, customer service and business integrity.
