Do you thrive on solving problems, tackling challenges under pressure, and delivering exceptional results? If so, we’re looking for a Power Tool Repair Technician to join our team and make a meaningful impact!

The Role

As an On-Site Tool Repair Technician, you will coordinate the activities of Atlas Copco's tool maintenance contract within BMW's manufacturing facility. You will be responsible for the setup, configuration, and maintenance of tooling, including managing preventative maintenance (PM) and calibration schedules for the tooling population. You will oversee the logistics of shipping tools to and from the customer’s facility, ensuring timely and accurate communication with the customer. Additionally, you will perform minor repairs, preventative maintenance, and follow up on the status of tools shipped off-site for vendor repairs or service at an Atlas Copco Repair Depot.

This role requires daily on-site presence at BMW’s Greer, South Carolina plant. This opening is for the "A" shift 7:00am-5:40pm.

To succeed, you will need

 

  • Experience: At least 2 years of experience in a production environment with manufacturing automation, assembly tooling, or data collection systems.
  • Mechanical Aptitude: Strong troubleshooting abilities.
  • Technical Aptitude: Ability to read and comprehend schematics. Proficiency in MS Office, networking, and database systems.
  • Communication: Customer service skills, with an ability to communicate effectively and professionally.
  • Physical Requirements: Physical ability to lift up to 60 pounds.  
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED.
