Project Engineer for filtration solutions

Your role

As a project engineer, you will follow up the entire project from prototype to series production according to the CtP process. You work out the complete mechanical design together with the designer, follow up with the test engineers based on the project test plan, and closely coordinate with the project leader, colleagues from other departments (production, purchasing, aftermarket) as well as internal and external suppliers to bring the project to successful completion. You will also independently handle smaller or sub-projects based on the needs of the team. You do all this in an international environment. In addition, you will act as the key interface between DANMIL developments and the requirements of the division with a global scope. 

This role is essential to ensure the successful execution of projects from development to production, while continuously fostering collaboration across teams and improving processes to enhance efficiency, transparency, and overall project performance.

Responsibilities include

• Investigate the project feasibility in all aspects
• Define the correct technical concept in line with the specifications and requirements described in the master specification
• Perform design calculation according to the best engineering practices and applicable standards
• Coordinating and following up design-related tasks with the designer and GECIA
• Optimizing the cost and design of components in consultation with the suppliers (co-design).
• Making the necessary functional specifications for the different components
• Monitoring prototype construction and processing feedback
• Setting up test programs in collaboration with technical experts, test engineers. Supervising the testing of prototypes, interpreting test results and processing feedback.
• Independently working out and following up the assigned subprojects belonging to the product development projects.
• Checking technical specifications and preparing Design Notifications for release of final design.
• Product follow-up after start of series production.
• Reporting progress to management

• Solid technical knowledge, theoretical and practical.
• Knowledge of project work within Atlas Copco is an advantage.
• Civil Engineer or Industrial Engineer Electro-Mechanics.
• Strong in mechanical design skills.
• Strong analytical skills.
• A creative approach in coming up with technical designs and solutions.
• You take initiative and act decisively and are Self-motivated.
• Strong communication skills, and you build networks easily.
• You are a real team player.
• Fluency in English
