Software Support Engineer

Bring your curiosity to work as our next Software Support Engineer. You will be part of our Global Software Support Hub team in Poland reporting to the hub's team leader. In this role, your mission is to support our customer centers worldwide during project implementations for our error proofing and data analysis solutions and provide services for software maintenance contracts. You will be the connection point between customers, project managers and technicians in our customer centers and the R&D departments of our product companies in Sweden, Germany and Italy.

You will contribute directly to how we create high‑quality products and solutions for our customers.

Your day-to-day tasks

  • Deploy and update our Atlas Copco software solutions remotely
  • React to alerts sent by customers or our remote monitoring and analyze and solve issues via remote access or by escalating them to the product companies' Tech Centers.
  • Document all activities in the ticketing system
  • Operate contract specific phone support lines
  • Set up and maintain IT infrastructure in the hub for testing and training.
  • Support the product companies in testing new software releases
  • Handle tickets about license issues
  • Create process descriptions for deployments, maintenance, troubleshooting, and fire drills

Your skills and experience

Technical skills:

  • Workstation and server operating systems
  • Virtualization software VMWare / Hyper-V
  • Docker and Kubernetes
  • SysOp for cloud environments (Azure, AWS)
  • Wired and wireless networks
  • Relational databases systems: SQL Server, Postgres
  • Remote monitoring: Dynatrace, Grafana
  • Remote access tools: TeamViewer, VPN connections, …
  • Ticketing system QCM3 (SalesForce Service Cloud)
  • Office 365 

 

Soft skills:

  • Confident and self-contained

 

Additional requirements:

  • Minimum a bachelor’s degree in computer science or comparable, alternatively proven work experience in the field
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in a software support organization
  • Fluent in English
  • Flexibility concerning the working times is expected. To support our TechCover software maintenance contracts, working in shifts on weekends and public holidays will be necessary from time to time.
  • Willingness to travel from time to time
  • Driving license

Location

The Global Software Support Hub is located in our Central Service Center in Gromadka in Poland. This is a full time hybrid position. Working from home will be possible most of the time
