The role

Working under the strategic direction of Marketing Operations, the Senior Digital Marketing Executive supports commercial decision-making by providing customer, market, and funnel insights. The role collaborates closely with Marketing Communications to inform content planning, support campaign execution, and deliver data-driven recommendations that enhance audience targeting, personalisation, and channel effectiveness.

 

The role will be responsible for managing and optimising the C4C CRM system to ensure accurate data, effective lead flow, and strong adoption across the organisation, while supporting the execution of a cohesive marketing automation strategy from a digital marketing perspective. You will oversee all inbound lead assignment and pre-qualification, maintains data quality, delivers dashboards and performance reporting, and provides insights that support segmentation, targeting, and ongoing campaign optimisation across digital channels. 

Key responsibilities

  • Maintain master data within C4C.
  • Perform periodic system updates and ensure data accuracy.
  • An understanding of using and researching markets using business intelligence suites.
  • Ensure C4C usage in daily operations across Sales and Back Office.
  • Generate dashboards and analytical reports for management.
  • Provide reporting support for Sales, Marketing, and leadership teams.
  • Organise and manage C4C training for Sales and Back Office teams.
  • Support Showpad training and drive adoption of sales enablement tools.
  • Operate within workflows, processes, and approvals set by Marketing Operations.
  • Work collaboratively with Sales, Product, Marketing Communications, and external agencies to support campaign execution.
  • Build cross-functional alignment between CRM, Sales, and Marketing teams.
  • Support Business Line Managers with Go-To-Market activities through CRM insights and data.
  • Conduct customer segmentation for targeted marketing activities.
  • Use 3rd party market research tools to identify potential customers by business line.
  • Support content creation for Emarsys and CRM-driven campaigns.
  • Provide support for creative direction and campaign messaging where CRM data influences targeting.

  • Experience in CRM systems.
  • A degree or equivalent qualifications in Marketing or Digital Marketing. 
  • Knowledge and experience of B2B Sales intelligence and prospecting platforms - Cognism, D&B Hoovers or equivalent is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of infrastructure, utilities, defence and associated engineering markets is an advantage but not essential. 
  • Ability to demonstrate an analytical approach.
  • Experience of SAP / SAP C4C (or equivalent ie. Sales Force).
  • Working knowledge of MS Office, Outlook and SAP C4C or Salesforce.com.
  • Presentation skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-motivated attitude and ability to use own initiative.
