Your role
Another exciting opportunity has arisen, and we are looking for a Year in Industry Student to join us in our UK Head Offices, based in Hemel Hempstead. Are you motivated? Willing to take on a new challenge? And able to take ownership of exciting projects? If so, we have a placement for a student studying relevant business, marketing or similar qualifications.
We are looking for a dynamic, flexible, self-motivated student to join our team at Atlas Copco Group in the UK. Starting in August/ September 2026, our 12-month placement programme will give you exposure to working in a Group that is sustainable, innovative and a global market leader with over 55,000 employees worldwide.
You will report to the Corporate Communications Manager, supporting the implementation of on and offline communications activities, which strengthen the Atlas Copco Group’s brand identity. During the placement year, you will be given various projects to help you gain exposure to different aspects of large global organisation.
To succeed, you will need
To join us for a placement you must currently be at university, studying Marketing, Communications or similar. We are looking for flexible, self-motivated undergraduates who can work both individually or as part of a team with the ability to work effectively under pressure, prioritise and meet deadlines.
You will also:
- Have good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Have good organisational & administration skills.
- Be PC literate and familiar with Microsoft.
- Committed to continuous learning.
- Fluent in English, as this is our internal language.
- A creative flair is not essential, but would be good
Day to Day:
- Creating and updating content for across all digital channels – website, intranet, digital signage and social media channels
- Write content for internal communication bulletins
- Support with employer branding activities that promote the Atlas Copco Group as a great place to work
- Support the Corporate Communications Manager in bespoke, adhoc projects as and when needed – to include local events and regional campaigns.
Educational requirements:
Candidates must be currently at the university.

Job location
This role offers a hybrid working arrangement, allowing you to split your time between working remotely and being on-site at our UK Head Office in Hemel Hempstead
Suitable candidates must have an appropriate visa to live and work in the UK.
