We are looking for a Year in Industry Student to join us in our UK Head Offices, based in Hemel Hempstead.

Are you motivated? Willing to take on a new challenge? And able to take ownership of exciting projects? If so, we have a placement for a student studying relevant business, marketing or similar qualifications. 

We are looking for a dynamic, flexible, self-motivated student to join our team at Atlas Copco Group in the UK. Starting in August/ September 2026, our 12-month placement programme will give you exposure to working in a Group that is sustainable, innovative and a global market leader with over 58,000 employees worldwide.

During the placement year, you will be given various projects to help you gain exposure to different aspects of large global organisation.

The primary responsibilities involve conducting in-depth research to identify high-potential prospects and continuously enhancing our master database as part of “The Full Potential Plan.” This is a strategy to help the business reach its maximum sales potential by improving how we generate leads, convert customers, and grow revenue.

The candidate will play a role in supporting the sales teams by uncovering new growth opportunities, updating our CRM system with marketing attributes, ensuring accuracy, and contributing to our strategic marketing and sales initiatives.

To succeed, you will need

To join us for a placement you must currently be at university, studying Marketing and looking to gain real-world experience across our Portable Air, Power and Light business areas.

We are looking for a flexible, self-motivated undergraduate who can work both individually or as part of a team with the ability to work effectively under pressure, prioritise and meet deadlines.

The ideal candidate demonstrates attention to detail, proactive problem-solving abilities, and a genuine enthusiasm for learning about the industry.

 

You will also:

  • Have good communication, collaboration and interpersonal skills.
  • Have strong research skills.
  • Be PC literate with proficiency in Excel and Microsoft office
  • Efficiently adapt to changing business needs and priorities
  • Fluent in English, as this is our internal language.
  • Good understanding of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems.

Job location

This role requires you to work on-site at our office in Hemel Hempstead, United Kingdom (GB). You will be part of a dynamic team and enjoy the benefits of face-to-face collaboration.
