Machine Vision Solutions is a division and part of the Industrial Technique business area. We develop, install, sell and service an extensive range of solutions for surface inspection, robot guidance and automated metrology. These solutions are key for our customers in enabling flexible automation as well as respond to increased quality demands from their customers. The division goes to market as ISRA VISION with several strong product brands towards different market segments. Divisional headquarter is in Darmstadt, Germany with manufacturing in United States, Germany and China. 

 

As a General Manager PC MVS Germany (m/f/d), your mission is to lead the business strategically and operationally, shape efficient and scalable processes, build an agile and customer‑focused organization, and enable sustainable, profitable growth. You will report to the VP Operations MVS and be part of the extended MVS Division Management Team

 

Strategic Leadership & Business Management 
•    Define and execute a strategy aligned with the company’s Mission and Vision. 
•    Own full P&L responsibility, ensuring revenue growth, profitability, and cost efficiency. 
•    Monitor key business metrics and take corrective action when needed. 
•    Ensure compliance with Group financial, organizational, and operational standards (Atlas Copco Way). 
 
Operational Excellence & Process Optimization 
•    Build and optimize a German operating model that ensures scalability, efficiency and best route through manufacturing to market in line with the global operations strategy.
•    Strengthen alignment between Product Company and Customer Centers. 
•    Ensure stable operations with continuous improvement short term and drive consolidated profitability midterm. 
 
People Leadership & Culture Development 
•    Foster a safe, empowering, and engaging work environment while promoting a culture of ownership, accountability, collaboration, and innovation. 
•    Develop and coach employees at all levels, strengthening customer focus and continuous improvement. 
•    Build and maintain an agile, resilient organization that adapts effectively to changing market conditions.
•    Act as an active and influential member of the global Operations Management team, contributing to the definition and execution of global operational strategies

Experience & Expertise 
•    Several years of senior leadership experience (10+ years) in operations or general management within productdriven or technology focused companies, ideally manufacturing. 
•    Proven track record in P&L ownership, business scaling, and crossfunctional leadership. 
•    Strong commercial, technical, and financial understanding, including forecasting and performance management. 
•    Strong communication skills (fluent in German and English)  
•    Proven experience working with works councils is a must.

Education & Language Skills 
•    University degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.

Job location

This role requires you to work primarily on-site in Herten and Darmstadt, Germany (DE), with occasional flexibility for remote work when business needs allow. You will be part of a dynamic team and enjoy the benefits of face-to-face collaboration.
