Your role

The Facilities Coordinator is responsible for supporting the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of the Hillsboro facility. This position serves as a technical generalist and primary point of coordination for facility maintenance activities, contractor services, preventive maintenance programs, and site infrastructure systems. The role works closely with internal customers, vendors, contractors, and service providers to ensure facility systems and grounds are maintained to support business operations.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background in industrial facilities maintenance, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to effectively manage multiple service providers while delivering exceptional customer service across the site.

 

Facility Operations & Maintenance

  • Coordinate and support preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities for facility infrastructure and building systems.
  • Assist in maintaining facility uptime through effective planning, scheduling, and follow-up of maintenance activities.
  • Monitor the condition and performance of buildings, grounds, and critical utility systems.
  • Coordinate facility inspections and ensure timely completion of corrective actions.
  • Support facility improvement projects and infrastructure upgrades.

 

Contractor & Vendor Management

  • Coordinate and oversee contractors, vendors, and service providers to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with company requirements.
  • Manage service relationships for:
    • Landscaping services
    • Janitorial services
    • HVAC contractors
    • Fire protection contractors
    • Utility and specialty service providers
  • Verify contractor compliance with site safety requirements and work authorization procedures.
  • Evaluate vendor performance and recommend improvements when needed.

 

Technical Systems Support

Maintain familiarity with and support maintenance activities associated with:

  • Roofing systems and roof drains
  • Rooftop HVAC units (RTUs)
  • Air Makeup Units (AMUs)
  • Exhaust and ventilation systems
  • Fire alarm and fire suppression systems
  • Fire pumps
  • Compressed air systems, including rotary screw compressors and desiccant dryer
  • Process cooling water system and Ultraviolet (UV) water treatment system
  • Industrial gas delivery systems including nitrogen (N₂) and oxygen (O₂)
  • Building automation and facility utility systems

 

Parts & Materials Management

  • Research replacement parts and equipment requirements for facility systems.
  • Obtain vendor quotations and coordinate procurement activities.
  • Order and track facility maintenance parts, materials, and supplies.
  • Maintain critical spare parts inventory and recommend

To succeed, you will need

  • Associate Degree in a technical discipline preferred; or Equivalent military training, trade school certification, apprenticeship program, or related technical education.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in industrial, manufacturing, semiconductor, or commercial facilities maintenance environments.
  • Experience coordinating contractors and service providers.
  • Experience supporting preventive maintenance programs and facility infrastructure systems.
  • Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and utility systems.
  • Strong understanding of industrial facility equipment and infrastructure.
  • Ability to diagnose facility issues and coordinate appropriate corrective actions.
  • Experience in semiconductor, high-tech manufacturing, or industrial facilities.
  • Familiarity with CMMS systems and maintenance planning tools.
  • Knowledge of energy management and sustainability programs.
  • Experience with industrial gas systems, process cooling water, and compressed air systems.
  • OSHA, safety, or facilities-related certifications.
  • Experience managing multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong organizational, documentation, and recordkeeping skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams.
