Inside Sales Engineer - VTS

Your role
Mission
The role of the Inside Sales Engineer is to increase revenue in nontraditional and specified markets to help drive profitable growth using a combination of proactive outbound calling, prospecting and working with outside sales and\or other departments to grow the US Edwards VTS business.
Responsibilities:
· Proactively generate and qualify leads through outbound calls, emails, and digital outreach to support regional sales growth.
· Manage and grow assigned customer accounts, ensuring consistent follow-up and relationship development.
· Collaborate closely with Outside Sales counterparts to align on territory strategy, share insights, and support joint opportunities.
· Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations via phone or video conferencing.
· Maintain accurate records in CRM systems, tracking customer interactions, pipeline activity, and sales progress.
· Respond promptly to inbound inquiries, providing product information, pricing, and support to drive conversion.
· Identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities within existing accounts to maximize revenue. Identify and create service plans as a customer is moved up the service ladder.
· Coordinate with internal departments (e.g., operations, logistics, customer service) to ensure seamless order fulfillment and customer satisfaction.
· Monitor market trends and competitor activity, sharing insights with the sales team to refine strategy.
· Meet or exceed monthly sales targets and KPIs, contributing to overall regional performance.
· Attend offsite Sales Meetings, customer visits with Service Sales Engineers (SSE) as required.
· Perform other duties as assigned.
To succeed, you will need
Education:
· Degree-level education preferred; relevant work experience will be considered.
Skills:
· Self-motivated and proactive with the ability to work independently and meet agreed targets.
· Strong interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with customers and internal teams.
· Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel, Word and Powerpoint.
· CRM proficiency for customer/prospect management, opportunity creation, quoting and lead tracking.
· SAP BW knowledge is a plus but not required.
Product & Business Knowledge:
· Familiarity with vacuum technologies across various brands.
· In-depth understanding of Edwards Vacuum products, services, and internal processes.
· Awareness of Edwards Vacuum’s service business strategy.
Experience:
· Prior experience in a customer-facing role.
· Experience managing and maintaining databases.
Functional Competencies:
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
· Outgoing and engaging personality essential for customer interaction.
· Ability to guide conversations toward successful order placement.
· Ability to effectively multi-task
