Accounting Specialist

As an Accounting Specialist, you are responsible for general daily accounting, communicating and supporting with your teammates as well as other departments and completing various month-end close duties. You will report to the Accounting Manager and be located in the Houston office.  

Responsibilies include:
  • Runs daily cash reports to reconcile bank transaction
  • Prepares and maintain working files to post journal entries to general ledger for closing
  • Performs GL account reconciliations and analysis for assigned balance sheet and P&L accounts
  • Adds and maintains vendor information in SAP Business One
  • Processes intercompany and freight invoices
  • Performs various month-end close duties such as accruals, allocations and other journal entries
  • Assists Accounting Manager with various internal audits, inventory count procedures and ad hoc accounting tasks

 

To succeed, you will need

To be successful in this role, you should have an Associate’s degree and pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting. You should have a general understanding of GAAP Accounting and 0-1 years’ experience in a role that can prepare you for this role.
