General Description
The Human Resources Manager will drive functional excellence across all aspects of HR at Atlas Copco Compressors LLC – Houston Product Company. Serving as a strategic business partner, this role will lead people management initiatives, policy compliance, process improvements, and provide guidance to leaders to ensure alignment with business goals.

Essential Job Functions
- Serve as a trusted advisor to the leadership team, including providing regular updates to the General Manager on HR-related matters.
- Partner with leaders to execute HR and talent strategies in areas such as workforce planning, employee retention, engagement, leadership coaching, performance management, and change management.
- Collaborate with Finance and Accounting on HR initiatives with financial impact.
- Provide support and guidance to managers and employees on complex or sensitive issues, including investigations, corrective actions, and terminations.
- Drive employee engagement initiatives to promote productivity and morale through events, rewards, and recognition programs.
- Oversee employment immigration processes in coordination with legal counsel and partner with International Remuneration and Benefits for expatriate assignments and mobility-related benefits.
- Promote learning and development initiatives that align with the company’s Talent Framework and enhance employee and leadership capabilities.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, review and update policies and practices accordingly.
- Act as an ambassador for Atlas Copco’s values and ensure all programs and initiatives reflect “The Way We Do Things.”
- Provide strategic and creative problem-solving support to leaders to optimize outcomes and business results.
- Manage the company’s compensation structure, incentive plans, and salary planning processes to ensure competitive and equitable pay practices while ensuring compliance with FLSA and pay equity requirements. Oversee payroll submissions, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Maintain and analyze HR metrics, including headcount, sick leave, and other KPIs to support leadership reporting.
- Participate in management, company-wide, and HR-specific meetings related to people management.
- Stay current with U.S. labor laws, regulations, immigration policies, and HR best practices, including emerging technologies in HR and talent management.
- Champion Atlas Copco’s “Safety First” policy, actively contributing to the company’s Quality/Environment/Safety and Health objectives
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent HR experience.
- HRCI or SHRM certification preferred.
- 8+ years of progressive HR leadership experience with strategic and functional expertise.
- Experience in a matrixed or decentralized organization preferred.

- Knowledge of employment laws and HR compliance.

- Proficient in Microsoft Office and HRIS/talent systems.
