Technical Support Engineer

Your role

As a Technical Support Engineer, your mission is to provide support to FS, sale, and customers for complex problems without supervision.

You will

•    Identify the support requirements to ensure that the conditions of above are met, and that Edwards’ policies for quality, reporting, environment, and health and safety are fully complied with.
•    Identify and resolve resource issues across projects, suggest changes in the organization of work and identify and resolve potential issues and hotspots to ensure the smooth functioning of the projects.
•    Deliver technical presentation and training to customers and to all levels internally ensuring that the Company is effectively represented.
•    Review a full range of plans and designs with customers and negotiate detailed technical changes without technical support.
•    To drive the partnerships between Edwards and the customers to secure a successful long-term supply relationship, founded on reliable and consistent performance of Edwards support.
•    To feedback data related to customer, product, local operations, territory and competitors in order to facilitate the continuous improvement process.
•    Lead support and integration activities in assigned areas to ensure the effective operation of systems.
•    Work with Edwards support teams globally to deliver Semicon and FPD support.
•    Ensure that the requirements of the RCE and the Company's Health and Safety policies are adhered to.
•    Take any tasks or projects assigned by the immediate manager/supervisor.

•    At least 5 years relevant experience in an engineering field, ideally within a related industry.
•    Confident grasp of increasingly complex technical matters indicated by speed accuracy and quality work.
•    Approached by others for advice and assistance.
•    Possesses PC skills to manage information and to prepare reports and presentations without secretarial support.
•    Knowledge of Edwards’s products, EGM, vacuum FPD and semiconductor technology to a level that enables technical discussions to be held with engineers and engineering group leaders both internally and with customers.
•    Knowledge of Edwards organizations (globally) to enable appropriate assistance to be called upon in the event that issues cannot be resolved locally.
•    Knowledge of the organizations and operating practices of both Edwards and its customers that enables the support of Edwards’ equipment to be managed in a manner that conforms to the policies of both companies.
•    Proven ability to correctly diagnose and successfully resolve increasingly complex problems, seeking advice only when clearly required.

Job location

This role offers a hybrid working arrangement, allowing you to split your time between working remotely and being on-site at our (insert organization here) in Hsinchu, Taiwan (TW).
