Your role

As a Field Service Engineer, you’ll play a key role in installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting a range of electrical and mechanical systems at customer sites. You’ll work closely with customers and colleagues to ensure equipment is operating safely, efficiently, and reliably, while delivering a consistently high standard of service.

 

This is a varied, hands-on role that suits someone who enjoys problem-solving, working independently, and building positive relationships with customers.

 

  • Working safely and in line with company policies and site rules
  • Servicing and maintaining electrical and mechanical equipment
  • Communicating clearly with customers and contractors throughout service visits
  • Participating in an on-call rota with fellow engineers
  • Providing technical support, training, and advice to customers
  • Accurately documenting service activities
  • Supporting and mentoring junior engineers and apprentices
  • Delivering excellent customer service and building strong working relationships
  • Ensuring work areas are left tidy and company vehicles are maintained to a high standard

To succeed, you will need

  • Level 3 qualification, apprenticeship, or equivalent experience in a relevant engineering discipline
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Background in compressed air, commercial service, or a similar engineering environment
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Practical problem-solving skills
  • Enthusiastic and proactive approach
  • Organised with good time management
