Your role

As the Team Leader for Engineering Solutions at Trident Pneumatics Private Limited, you will be at the forefront of advancing our product innovation and engineering capabilities within the Air & Gas Applications division. Your primary responsibility is to lead the end-to-end engineering lifecycle, from initial research and concept development to product launch and continuous improvement. You will direct a diverse group of engineers and technical experts, fostering collaboration and technical growth through inspirational leadership.

This role requires you to be a visionary and strategic thinker, adept at translating market demands and emerging technologies into robust engineering solutions that uphold Trident Pneumatics’ reputation as a leader in compressor technique and industrial gases sectors.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Ownership and Leadership: Manage the full spectrum of customer-specific engineering projects, ensuring technical excellence in compressed air treatment and gas generation systems.
  • Innovative System Design: Develop advanced dryer, PSA systems, filtration, and gas generation designs with mastery in thermodynamics, flow optimization, and system integration to improve product performance and reliability.
  • Technical Governance: Serve as the key decision-maker for engineering designs, ensuring compliance with global standards and customer requirements while resolving complex technical challenges.
  • Program and Resource Management: Drive rigorous project planning and execution, including budgeting, risk assessments, scheduling, and resource allocation to deliver high-quality outcomes on time and within budget.
  • Commissioning and Field Support: Lead critical site commissioning activities, performance tuning, and troubleshooting to guarantee operational parameters are met under real-world conditions.
  • Digital Engineering Advancement: Lead the adoption of digital tools and methodologies such as CAD automation, simulation-driven design, BOM digitization, and real-time project tracking to enhance engineering productivity and traceability.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Influence and coordinate with stakeholders across manufacturing, sourcing, service, and customer teams to ensure seamless project delivery and stakeholder satisfaction.

You will report directly to the Engineering Manager and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our engineering solutions, boosting Trident Pneumatics' competitive edge and innovation pipeline.

To succeed, you will need

To excel in this role, you should possess a Master’s degree in Mechanical, Thermal, or Design Engineering or equivalent practical experience, coupled with 12-15 years progressive engineering experience including 5 or more years in leadership positions.   • Proven leadership in managing complex, customer-focused engineering projects successfully from concept through delivery.
  • Technical proficiency with CAD and solid modeling tools (e.g. AutoCAD, Inventor) plus a strong understanding of GD&T, materials science, and modern manufacturing processes.
  • Strategic mindset with ability to align engineering initiatives to commercial and business goals.
  • Excellent communicator skilled in engaging with cross-functional teams, customers, and suppliers.
