Your role

As a CPD Sales Expert, your mission is to drive growth and market share for Chicago Pneumatic products by building strong partnerships with customers and distributors and delivering technical expertise that positions Chicago Pneumatic as the preferred brand. You will report to the Business Line Manager-CPD.

Your day-to-day

•    Grow the sales of all Chicago Pneumatic products through distribution partners, covering the greater North West and Limpopo Regions.
•    Grow the existing customer base from existing distribution and end customer, and develop new distribution channels, across the allocated territory.
•    Engage with End Users of the products in a manner that makes them prefer Chicago Pneumatic above competition.
•    Demonstrate to the end users within the province the value of the Chicago Pneumatic tool brand to enable the customers to specify Chicago Pneumatic products within their organization as the preferable brand.
•    Realize in cooperation with distributors / partners, the sales cycle necessary to obtain the orders / purchase contract (identify opportunity, present proposal, demonstrate value, negotiate, and close the deal).
•    Establish, develop, and maintain relationships with distributors / partners through daily visits, telephone calls and all forms of correspondence.
•    Maintain all Customer information as well as Key Account Plans in Sales Force.
•    Manage the Pipeline, Leads and Opportunities in Sales Force database (visits, proposals, orders, etc.).
•    Implementation of the area strategic growth plan, to grow our market share through the area, focusing on specific customers and market segments of the various application types in the area.
•    Understand the sales cycle and drive the sales Cycle from start to finish with the distribution or individually.
•    Customer / technical support.
•    Product training of distributors.
•    Product demonstrations at customers with distribution sales team or without.
•    Time management and self-motivation is essential.
•    Travel required throughout the province.

Your skills and experience

•    Experience working with distribution partners.
•    Proven record of accomplishment with developing sales.
•    Experience in Industrial Tooling  / Mining  / Mining OEM’s advantageous.
•    Good organizational, planning and follow up skills.
•    Minimum 3 years in a Technical Sales role.
•    Good knowledge of the sale of industrial applications.
•    Computer literacy (MS Office). 
•    Woking knowledge of CRM systems
•    Good interpersonal and communication skills.
•    Ability to work with customers and colleagues.
•    Ability to work in a team and under pressure.
•    Well organized, takes initiative and self-motivated.
•    Challenged by varied work demands / routines.
•    Team player with good listening skills.
•    A curious nature and the ability to build strong alliances and business relationships with people at all levels.
•    Ability to generate ideas to develop new business through both traditional and innovative sales techniques.
•    Strong customer and quality focus with ability to keep commitments seek feedback and continuously drive customer satisfaction.

•    Diploma or Degree in mechanical or electrical engineering.
•    Valid driver’s license.
