CTS Product Specialist

Your role
As a Product Specialist, your mission is to ensure optimal product performance, reliability, and customer satisfaction by providing expert technical support, resolving technical issues and strength capability across customer and distributor networks. You will report to Leon Breytenbach.
You will
- Provide an effective technical interface between Customer Centres, Distributors, Dealers, Customers, Services Operations, and Product Companies.
- Deliver structured, professional and timely technical support to FSEs, Back Office, Service Operations, distributors and customers.
- Support distributors networks across South Africa and neighboring countries with technical expertise, troubleshooting, and product application guidance.
- Monitor, analyze, and report on local product quality, reliability trends, and recurring failures.
- Coordinate technical escalations, failure reporting, and support requests with Product Companies.
- Provide onsite technical support for complex breakdowns, critical customer issues, commissioning activities, and special projects when required.
- Develop and present technical training programs for Atlas Copco personnel, distributors, and customers.
- Compile professional technical reports and recommendations for distributors, customers, and management, and Product Companies.
- Foster strong customer relationships and contribute to service excellence, equipment reliability, and customer satisfaction.

You have 5 years of experience, working in the compressed air industry or related technical support environment.
- Matric and related Trade Test Qualifications (preferably Millwright, Electrician, or Instrumentation Technician).
- Technical qualifications such as N6, National Diploma, B-Tech, or equivalent (advantageous).
- Additional training in compressed air systems, automation, controls, or reliability engineering (advantageous).
- Proven experience in technical troubleshooting and field service support.
- Experience supporting distributors, and customer-facing service organizations.
- Experience delivering technical training programs.
- Strong understanding of industrial compressed air applications and equipment.
- Commercial awareness and customer-focused problem-solving skills will be advantageous.
