Business Development Manager - AGA

Your role
• Market Development & Strategy
o Develop and execute a comprehensive business growth plan for Nitrogen, Oxygen, High Pressure Booster, and Natural Gas solutions.
o Identify new opportunities, market segments, and applications to expand our footprint.
o Conduct market research and competitor analysis to refine strategies and positioning.
• Sales Execution
o Actively engage in direct sales activities, including prospecting, customer visits, technical presentations, and contract negotiations.
o Build and maintain strong relationships with industrial clients, engineering firms, and distributors.
o Achieve sales targets and deliver consistent revenue growth during the initial market development phase.
• Distributor & Regional Support
o Provide technical and commercial support to distributors, local and in neighboring countries.
o Assist with training, product positioning, and sales enablement.
o Ensure consistent brand representation and customer satisfaction across the region.
• Business Growth & Transition
o Establish a sustainable pipeline of opportunities to support long-term growth.
o Transition from a primarily sales-focused role to a strategic business development role as the market matures.
o Collaborate with internal teams (technical support, operations, marketing) to ensure seamless delivery of solutions.
To succeed, you will need
• Grade 12.
• Bachelor’s Degree in engineering, Business, (Mechanical, Chemical, or Electrical Engineering).
• Experience in Nitrogen, Oxygen, CO2, PET and CNG/LNG applications, installation, sizing, and a clear understanding of these applications and processes.
• Proven track record in business development and technical sales, ideally within industrial gases, compressors, or energy-related sectors.
• Strong understanding of Nitrogen, Oxygen, Natural Gas applications, and high-pressure booster systems and PET market.
• Experience working with distributors and regional partners in Southern Africa.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
• Self-starter with entrepreneurial mindset and ability to work independently.
• Willingness to travel extensively within South Africa and neighboring countries.
• Strategic thinker with hands-on sales ability.
• Technical aptitude to understand and communicate product benefits.
• Strong commercial acumen and customer focus.
• Ability to balance short-term sales execution with long-term business development goals.
• Resilience, adaptability, and drive to succeed in a developing market.
