Product Manager IV (m/f/d) 1

The role:

Your Mission:

To maintain and grow Leybold's leading position in the industrial vacuum market, we seek a Product Manager for sustainable and profitable growth. You will oversee single stage and two stage oil lubricated rotary vane pumps, ensuring they are competitive and meet market demands. Collaboration with various departments to support sales growth is essential. Your responsibilities include launching new product variants and accessories, driving sales, enhancing customer satisfaction, and introducing innovative solutions. 

General:

• Prepare and deliver internal and external product-based presentations and technical support material for training and communication purposes
• Visit customers to support CC’s in securing and executing their orders
• Close collaboration with Marketing Managers (PM/MSM/ADM) to establish current and future product roadmap

PLM:

• Drive profitability improvement by setting PK cost targets and price management into place, keep challenging the PCs and CCs to achieve the goals
• Responsibility for price positioning of related products including defining the sales prices (list price and minimum regional prices) to protect the products’ profitability
• Leading the creation of new variants, other derivatives, options & accessories as per market requirements, and bring them timely to the market
• Bring the voice of the customers to the PCs to keep on improving our quality
• Distribute, communicate the related product information to the CCs
• Continuously observe the sales profitability and markets of our products, in order to categorize them into the respective Lifecycle phases and to consciously decide on Sales-Push or Phase-out
• Manage the rebranded products for other sister brands as Multi-branded Product Manager

NPI:

• Continuously monitoring market trends and competition situations, recognizing the gap in portfolio as NPI trigger
• Lead the development and introduction of new projects, and provide project input based on market investigation, e.g. product scope and grouping, business case, PK/ASP target, and so on
• Organize new product demonstration at key applications and customers for endurance test
• Ownership on new product launch, web presence, training, and promotion

What we expect of you:

Degree Level: Master degree in Engineering or similar experiences

•         Working Experience:

o        Experience with vacuum pumps is a must-have

o        Mechanical, physical, automation, electrical or other related technical background are strong plus

•         Knowledge Areas:

o        Strong knowledge of vacuum pumps and/or vacuum applications

o        Fluent in English language (verbal and written) is a must

•         Critical Skills (9 Core Competency based evaluation)

•         Other requirements:

o        Willingness to frequently travel

o        Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel

o        SAP experience is a strong plus
