Support root cause analysis by assisting in identifying failure causes and providing data and insights from field information, SAP, downloaded data, warranty test stands, strip report data, and final test data to senior failure analysis engineers and managers. Utilize this information for advanced problem-solving, detailed analysis, and escalation for more complex investigations.

Track and raise potential new failure modes and process issues based on supporting evidence provided to senior failure analysis engineers and managers, contributing to improved vacuum pump lifetime.

Deliver accurate, high-quality failure reports in the failure analysis system for all products returned to the Service Technology Center, ensuring senior failure analysis engineers can review and release reports to customers within acceptable timelines.

Record failures accurately in SAP and the failure analysis reporting system.

Collaborate with the failure analysis team and technical teams to improve root cause identification and support the implementation of corrective actions.

When necessary, raise warranty issues to senior failure analysis engineers, including providing supporting documentation and evidence.

Serve as a key and productive member of the failure analysis engineer team, supporting the Service Technology Center in failure analysis activities and providing information, guidance, and technical support within the team.

Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, policies, and standards to fulfill organizational, safety, and health responsibilities.
Skills

Minimum of 3 years of on-site or field service experience in vacuum or remediation, or experience at a Service Technology Center

Experience in decontamination and parts inspection, or in technical support roles

Strong understanding of manufacturing and service methods

Broad product knowledge across the vacuum technology division

Systematic and detail-oriented approach, enabling thorough failure analysis investigations and supporting fact-based decision-making

Self-motivated with the ability to understand and resolve advanced failure analysis issues and escalate appropriately through proper channels when needed

Ability to collaborate effectively within a team and share technical expertise and knowledge

Familiarity with and ability to use appropriate tools and techniques to support failure analysis activities, including parts inspection, troubleshooting, and quality tools; experience with Power BI, Minitab, and JMP is preferred

Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English
