Commissioning Engineer (m/f/d)
Your role
As a Commissioning Engineer, your mission is to coordinate and conduct commissioning and troubleshooting for Systems & Solutions for all Sales Channels working with other Commissioning Engineers and Local Service. You will report to Engineering Support Manager.
You will
- Work with the Commissioning and Applications Engineer, define FAT, SAT and commissioning protocols, including standard handover checklists.
- Define and manage project plans for the installation and commissioning of systems, including coordination of internal and external resources and required equipment. Report progress both internally and to customer.
- Supervise installation and commissioning of equipment at customer site, as per contract/specification, (mechanical, electrical and software) including debugging. Ensure equipment is adequately installed and protected at site. Work with and guide local service representatives to provide a full local customer support service.
- Optimize software and hardware of the systems according to customer requirements.
- Support customer in startup phase.
- Train local service people and customers in operation of supplied equipment.
- Help to define maintenance and spares requirements for systems.
- Act as technical support for supplied systems, utilizing systematic problem-solving tools to solve customer issues and optimize performance.
- Respond to ‘equipment down’ situations at customer site, either remotely or on site, quickly resolving and cost effectively.
- To ensure continuous improvement, develop and execute feedback process from field to engineering & PLM teams.

You have a minimum of 5 years of experience, working as a Commissioning Engineer.
- Result-oriented with proven experience with systems, engineering and technology.
- Commissioning experience of rotating equipment.
- Knowledge of controls and software.
- Ability to communicate and interact effectively with the management and employees at all levels.
- Experience and ability to work in a multi-cultural environment.
- Strong organizational skills and strong attention to detail, capable of managing multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Strong focus on quality, accuracy, deadlines and orderly work.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Clear decision making capability.
- Excellent command of English in both writing and speaking, other languages advantageous particularly German.
- Advanced knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
- Commissioning experience of vacuum systems desirable.
- Working with in the process chemical industry very desirable.
- Familiarity with hazardous area safety rules and Site Safety assessment preferred.
- Knowledge in SAP advantageous.
- LRP technology & product knowledge advantageous.
This positions requires approx. 75 % of your time for (inter)national travel.

Job location
Due to the amount of travel time, this role is mainly remote. For your onboarding and regular meetings you need to be at one of our sites in Western Europe, Germany or United Kingdom.
