Data Architect (f/m/d)

Your role
As a Data Architect, you will play a key role in shaping our enterprise-wide data landscape. You will define and drive our data architecture strategy, establish scalable governance frameworks, and ensure that data becomes a trusted and strategic asset across the organization. As Data Architect you report to the Head of Digitalization in Industrial Flow Division.
You will be responsible to
- Define, develop, and continuously evolve the company-wide data architecture and data strategy in alignment with business objectives and digital transformation initiatives.
- Establish and govern a Master Data Management (MDM) framework across end-to-end business processes and multiple enterprise applications.
- Design and implement scalable data architecture principles, standards, and target models together with the Enterprise Architecture team.
- Drive the development of a modern data platform enabling seamless, secure, and efficient data integration across ERP, CRM, PLM, customer portals, and other business systems.
- Define and enforce data governance policies, including data ownership, stewardship, quality management, and lifecycle management.
- Collaborate closely with business stakeholders, process owners, and IT teams to identify data requirements and translate them into sustainable architecture solutions.
- Ensure compliance with data protection, security, and regulatory requirements while maintaining high data quality standards.
- Support data-driven decision-making by establishing a consistent and trusted enterprise data foundation.
- Evaluate emerging technologies, methodologies, and industry best practices in Data Management, Data Governance, and Analytics.

Qualifications & Skills
- University degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, Business Informatics, or a related field.
- Several years of experience in Data Architecture, Data Management, Master Data Management, or Enterprise Architecture.
- Data Architecture and Data Modeling
- Master Data Management (MDM)
- Data Governance and Data Quality Management
- Data Integration and API-based architectures
- Enterprise Data Platforms, Data Warehouses, and Cloud Technologies
- Experience working in complex system landscapes involving ERP, CRM, PLM, and other enterprise applications.
- Solid understanding of data protection regulations and information security principles.
- Strong analytical and conceptual thinking skills with the ability to translate business requirements into practical solutions.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across business and IT functions.
- Self-driven, structured, solution-oriented, and proactive working style.
- Fluent in English; German is considered an advantage.

Job location
This role offers a hybrid working arrangement, allowing you to split your time between working remotely and being on-site at LEWA GmbH in Leonberg, Germany (DE)
Alternatively, this role can be based at CRI-MAN in Correggio, Italy with a full-time presence.
Local Plus conditions will be offered for this position if the successful applicant is not based in Germany or Italy.
