Your role

The Industrial Flow Division is seeking for a dynamic Vice President Research & Development to drive innovation and excellence in our product development and engineering processes.

 

Mission: As Vice President of Research & Development, your mission is to develop and safeguard the division's world-leading position in product development. This will be achieved by maintaining an ambitious and innovative product development portfolio across all factories and brands. Your goal is to reduce the time to market while ensuring the highest levels of innovation and reliability.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a technology strategy that drives innovation, adopts emerging technologies, and leads product development.
  • Foster local-for-local innovation strategy in emerging markets.
  • Lead modularization of building blocks and components to enhance product efficiency and reduce complexity.
  • Coordinate global R&D teams to ensure high performance and alignment.
  • Lead Product Committee Meetings, ensuring clear governance and standardized processes are established and maintained.
  • In collaboration with the Product Management, you will prioritize continuous product improvements and breakthrough innovations.
  • Collaborate with the VP of Operations to utilize efficiently resources across all product companies.
  • Implement Design for Manufacturing (DFM) techniques to streamline production and improve product quality.
  • Ensure all sustainability reporting is completed and submitted to the PTBA for Scope 3 emissions.
  • Explore the utilization of Gecia's competencies across all relevant areas to enhance the division's capabilities.

Skills, Knowledge, and ExperienceTo thrive in this role, the candidate should possess:

  • 10-15 years of experience in an R&D environment.
  • A master's degree in engineering and excellent analytical skills.
  • Solid experience with product development processes.
  • Proven leadership experience as a people manager.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of relevant R&D techniques.
  • Preferably, experience in R&D projects related to pumps, dewatering, power electronics, fluid circulation, and renewable energies.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in an international environment.
  • Passion for technology and innovation, with a results-driven and dynamic personality.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, combining a robust personality with a collaborative team spirit.
  • Customer-oriented attitude and fluency in English.
  • Willingness to travel internationally on a frequent basis.

Job location

This role offers a hybrid working arrangement, allowing you to split your time between working remotely and being on-site at our offices.

The ideal location would be in Europe to have a better time zone to cover the world. Our many Production Companies are in Germany; Leonberg, Wangen im Allgaeu and Werdohl.
