Business Controller
Mission/Purpose of the Job: |
The purpose of the role is to lead Product Company (PC) financial reporting, analysis and business control tasks in a global, multi-cultural organization in close collaboration with other PCs, customer centers (CC) and divisional controllers with the focus on stability, profitability and growth.
Is an important partner and adviser for the entire organization, with a focus on our customers. The incumbent of this job operates as part of the PC Lutin management team. Must interface with all levels within the PC Lutin environment. |
Your role
As a Business Controller, you'll be at the heart of our financial operations, steering the organization's accounting functions and empowering strategic financial decisions through precise and timely reporting. Reporting directly to the General Manager, you'll contribute significantly to our overall success.
You will:
- Control the financial performance of the company and makes sure that the financial reporting and accounting practices are fully in line with FAM (financial and accounting management) and local legal rules.
- In cooperation with the local accounting teams develop good internal control environment in order to protect the company assets and to make sure that financial reporting and accounting matters are in accordance with FAM and local statutory accounting practice.
- Set-up pro-active analysis of business trends and the development of relevant metrics and feedback mechanisms.
- Work in the partnership with the General Manager (GM) and his/her local management team to understand future business objectives.
- Support the General Manager with the development and implementation of policies, processes, procedures and tools so that the required quality and safety standards are met in all aspects of the business. Ensures that those processes, policies and work instructions are adhered to.
- Be fully responsible for the PC P&L and Balance Sheet. Ensure balance sheet reconciliations are completed and issues fixed in a timely manner.
- Prepares information, analysis and insight for the regular review meetings.
- Be responsible for statutory audit and liaison with auditors. Ensure compliance with tax policy/regulation including liaison with tax authorities and advisers, accurate and timely taxation reports and payment requirements (Tax planning & compliance).
- Actively support saving initiatives across the whole company. Guide PC organization towards stronger commercial/financial considerations & business implications.
- Lead annual Target setting and regular Forecast updates for P&L, Balance Sheet, Cashflow and Capital Expenditure.

- Master’s degree in economics, finance or business & administration.
- Result-oriented and experienced professional (5+ years) with proven senior experience in business control, finance and/or business administration.
- Ability to communicate and interact effectively with the management and employees at all levels. Must possess strong leadership capabilities and the ability to empower the members within the finance and admin team.
- Strong organizational skills and strong attention to detail, capable of managing multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Detail orientation, decision making, problem solver.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, orientation in modern IT structures and processes. SAP is highly desirable.
- Must be a good communicator and have excellent fluency in spoken and written English

This role offers a hybrid working arrangement, allowing you to split your time between working remotely and being on-site at PC Lutin, Czech Republic.
