Mission/Purpose of the Job:

Responsible for developing a sustainable, cost effective and high performing supplier base considering Safety, Quality, Delivery & Cost to enable growth of the European Systems organisation.

Focus on local procurement strategy, identifying potential new suppliers and developing current suppliers, reducing risk in the supply chain, concluding supply agreements where appropriate.

Work collaboratively both locally and globally to exceed targets and expectations.

Mission & Purpose: 

Responsible for building a Global Procurement Strategy across Systems & Solutions locations, ensuring sustainable cost effective supply chains are in place to meet the future growth plans.
Leading global projects including, or related to Procurement activities. Execute a Global Systems & Solutions Strategic Sourcing Roadmap considering a ‘local for local’ approach.

Main Responsibilities

 

·       Execute a Global Systems & Solutions Strategic Sourcing Roadmap considering a ‘local for local’ approach

 

  • Liaise closely with the different functions (Applications & Proposals, Design, Projects and execution teams)

 

  • Lead Procurement related workstreams in relevant M&A Integrations

 

  • Be aware of and ensure compliance to all relevant Systems & Solutions and VTBA policies and procedures.

 

  • Improve processes to a higher level of efficiency to exceed results within the entire organization. Special focus on strategic procurement, supply chain and supplier development

 

  • Lead and drive the search, selection and approval of potential new suppliers following the relevant processes considering market analysis, value add, total cost of ownership (TCO) and benchmarking.

 

  • Provide feedback to the Systems senior management team raising ‘Red Flags’ where necessary at an early stage

 

  • Care and be a driving force for the Company’s overall performance and image. Be familiar with Atlas Copco’s “The Way We Do Things” and “Business Code of Practice” and apply in daily work

 

 

 

 

Skills/Knowledge/Experience:

  • University degree or equivalent in technical and/or economics/commercial activity
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement and supply chain management including strategy development and high level supplier development.
  • Technical knowledge and experience around applicable categories including fabrications, motors, Electricals, valves and instrumentation
  • Strong negotiation skills, proven application of strategic procurement, supplier searches, negotiating supply agreements, supplier performance improvement and development
  • SAP experience is preferable
  • Proficiency in working with Microsoft Office365 suite of applications
  • Fluent Czech and English (B2)
  • Ability to to read and understand engineering drawings
  • Proven track record in sucessful negotiation tactics
  • Strong communication and interaction skills; able to effectively manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a high workload environment with proven ability in building partnerships across a matrix organization.
  • Must have organizational awareness and ability to work in harmony with other functions to achieve business objectives (team player).
  • Ability to travel (locally and internationally). Approximately 20%
