Air and Gas Applications division is a newly created division within Compressor Technique Business Area. The new division is responsible for all product development, sourcing, production, marketing, sales and technical support of on-site gas generation and purification, high- and low-pressure compressors within the business area.

The Business Line Manager Air and Gas Applications is responsible for leading people and resources, as well as managing costs, budgets, profits, and losses for the Atlas Copco branded business lines Gas Generation Applications (AGG), High Pressure Air Applications (OHP), Gas Mobility & Energy Aplications (GPP) and Low Pressure Air Applications (OLP).  The Business Line Manager should be ambitious, have a growth oriented and entrepreneurial mindset, and have strong strategic and executional skills.

Mission

To lead and manage the assigned business lines to maximize profitability and growth through effective strategies, resource optimization, and comprehensive management of costs, budgets, and financial results. Coordinate and motivate teams to ensure excellence in the delivery of products or services, maintain solid relationships with clients and stakeholders, and adapt to market dynamics to meet and exceed established business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

1. Define and implement strategies and business plans for the assigned product lines, aligned with the company's overall objectives. Includes identifying market opportunities, growth planning, and overseeing strategy execution.
Outcome: Successful strategy implementation resulting in market share growth and meeting annual sales and profitability targets for the business lines.

2. Monitor and analyze the financial performance of the business lines (EBIT), including budget management, cost control, and profit maximization. Prepare financial reports, evaluate results, and make data-driven decisions.
Outcome: Profit margins maintained within target range, effective budget management minimizing deviations, and sustainable profitability.

3. Drive continuous improvement of products or services offered in the business lines, including market research to identify customer needs and implementing feedback-based improvements.
Outcome: Market acceptance evidenced by increased sales and customer satisfaction.

4. Establish and maintain strong relationships with key clients, strategic partners, and other relevant stakeholders. Includes contract negotiation, key account management, and problem resolution to ensure client satisfaction and loyalty.
Outcome: Strengthened relationships with key clients and partners, resulting in increased contract renewals and improved customer satisfaction scores.

5. Lead and motivate the team managing the business lines, overseeing necessary human and material resources to achieve business objectives. Includes recruitment, training, performance evaluation, and resource optimization.
Outcome: Development of a high-performing team, improved retention rates, and increased team productivity and operational efficiency.

Cross-Functional Responsibilities

-Strong cooperation with other Business Line Managers, other sales teams and other divisions in general.

-Prepare reports and perform activities requested by management within the scope of the role.
Outcome: Effective communication and efficient management within the organization.

-Comply with Safety, Occupational Health, Environmental, and Quality regulations, reporting any unsafe actions or conditions that could risk personal integrity or cause property damage. Additionally, ensure efficient use of natural resources and waste segregation.
Outcome: Guarantee the safety, health, and well-being of individuals, preventing accidents, injuries, and work-related illnesses, and contribute to the organization's sustainability.

Requirements

Mandatory

- Civil or Execution Engineering in Mining, Industry, Mechanics, or equivalent.

- Advanced English proficiency and native level of Spanish. 

- An entrepreneurial growth mindset, taking ownership of driving business forward.

- Strong strategic and execution skills,

- Ambition to significantly grow the 3 pillars organically and inorganically: High Pressure (HP), Low Pressure (LP), Industrial Gases (IG)

- In depth application know-how or willingness to learn fast on HP, LP & IG applications is a must.

 

Desirable

- MBA, Business Management, Marketing, or Finance is highly valued.

- Specific experience in the industry in which the company operates, understanding market dynamics and specific sector challenges

- Proven track of selling or developing the business with HP, LP & IG Portfolio is for sure a valuable experience.
