About the Role:
We’re looking for a hands-on Field Service Engineer to support our customers across the UK, with a primary base near our customer centre in the Cheshire area. This is a varied role combining skilled on-site support, software setup and support, tooling repair, preventative maintenance, installation and customer-facing technical expertise. You’ll work across a wide range of assembly tooling, including pneumatic and electric tools, while also supporting bespoke projects and continuous improvement activities.
If you enjoy problem-solving, working independently, and being the technical expert customers rely on, this role will suit you.Whether you're an experienced engineer or looking to take the next step in your engineering career, you'll receive the training and support needed to develop your technical skills and build specialist knowledge.
Through your work, you’ll help customers secure the uptime and performance they rely on to run their operations with confidence.
What your day could look like:
No two days are the same. You could be diagnosing a tooling fault on a production line, carrying out preventative maintenance, configuring process-control software, installing new equipment, calibrating torque tooling, supporting a customer project or delivering technical training.
Key Responsibilities:

- Work closely with internal teams and Area Sales Managers to resolve application challenges.
- Promote company products, services, and solutions through strong customer relationships.
- Maintain awareness of competitor products and industry developments.
What we're looking for:
Essential:
- Practical mechanical and/or electrical engineering aptitude, with an ability to diagnose faults using a logical and methodical approach.
- Comfortable using computers and technical software, with the ability and willingness to learn new software systems.
- Experience with industrial tooling, automation or manufacturing equipment is essential. Experience with our specific tooling and systems will be developed through training and ongoing technical development.
- Logical approach to fault finding.
- Ability to work independently and manage your own workload.
- Good communication skills, including customer interaction and presentations.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel extensively across the UK.
Desirable:
- ONC/HNC, apprenticeship, NVQ, City & Guilds or equivalent engineering qualification – desirable but not essential.
- Experience with specific assembly tooling such as clutch, transducer or pulse tools.
- Knowledge of torque tooling systems and applications.
- Experience with industrial/process-control software.
Training & Development
Full training will be provided on our tooling, software and systems. The role provides an opportunity to develop skills across mechanical engineering, electrical systems, industrial automation, torque control and customer applications.
For candidates early in their career, this is an opportunity to develop into a highly skilled Field Service Engineer with increasing responsibility for customer projects and technical support.
What success looks like:
Within your first 6–12 months, you will be developing the technical knowledge and confidence to independently diagnose tooling and process issues, support customers on-site and complete routine service, repair and calibration activities.
As your experience develops, you will take greater responsibility for customer projects, software configuration and technical problem solving.
