Business Development Manager

Your role
As a Business Development Manager, your mission is to drive profitable growth through the development of diverse market opportunities and strengthened customer relationships, focusing on high‑value engineered pump systems, metering technologies, and related fluid‑handling solutions for markets such as oil & gas, water/wastewater, chemical processing, pharmaceutical, power generation, mining, food & beverage, and biogas.
You will have a unique opportunity to lead the sales effort in Mexico, Central America, and the Caribbean for Industrial Flow’s three verticals – Industrial, Hygienic, and Environmental, working closely with the three Business Line Managers, and the Sales Distribution Manager.
In this role, you will report to the Vice President of Sales and Marketing.
You will:
- Develop and execute a strategic commercial plan to expand the growing product offering, throughout the region.
- Manage sales cycles for capital equipment projects ranging from single pump sales to multi‑million‑dollar pump packages.
- Build strong relationships with EPC firms, OEMs, distributors, integrators, and end users.
- Provide technical support, product selection guidance, and pump sizing recommendations.
- Train distributors and representatives on products, applications, and value‑propositions.
- Support project execution teams to ensure customer expectations and scope requirements are met
- Monitor competitive activity, market trends, pricing pressures, and industry regulations within the region.

- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering preferred (Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial) or equivalent technical experience.
- 8+ years of outside sales experience in industrial pumps, fluid‑handling equipment, rotating machinery, or engineered capital equipment.
- Proven experience in fluid dynamics, pump sizing, and system design principles.
- Proven experience in complex sales cycles in industries such as petrochemical, oil and gas, mining, or power.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple deadlines.
- Experience with CRM tools.
- Willingness to travel 50% of the time throughout the region.
