Field Service Engineer (Kioxia)
Your role
As a Field Service Engineer (Kioxia) within our Vacuum Technique business area, your primary mission is to ensure the optimal installation, maintenance, and repair of advanced vacuum equipment, supporting our valued clients to maintain peak operational performance. You will report directly to the Department Manager of Edwards Japan - CC.
In this role, you will:
- Conduct on-site installation, calibration, and troubleshooting of vacuum systems and related components, ensuring compliance with technical specifications and safety standards.
- Collaborate closely with engineering and R&D teams to provide feedback on product performance and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Deliver technical training and support to client personnel, enhancing their understanding and operation of complex systems.
- Document service activities meticulously and report on equipment status to internal stakeholders and clients.
- Ensure timely response to service calls and provide expert resolutions to minimize downtime and maintain customer satisfaction.

To succeed in this role, you will need:
- A solid track record of 3 to 5 years’ experience working as a Field Service Engineer or in a technical service role related to vacuum technology or precision equipment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to diagnose complex equipment issues efficiently.
- Experience with electrical and mechanical systems maintenance and repair preferred.
- Excellent communication skills in English and Japanese to effectively engage with diverse teams and clients.
