Are you a technically-minded sales professional with a passion for delivering outstanding customer service?
At Edwards Srl, General Vacuum Europe, part of the Atlas Copco Group, we’re looking for a driven and customer-focused Service Sales Engineer (SSE) to cover the Italian Market, dedicated to the Atlas Copco Vacuum Brand.
In this field based role, you will focus on the sale of service solutions for a wide range of vacuum pumps, working closely with customers to move from reactive to proactive maintenance approaches. A key part of your success will be promoting long-term value through multi-year service and maintenance agreements.
What you’ll be doing
- Manage business relationships with customers and potential customers in the territory of competence, trying to achieve the assigned sales targets
- Contact and visit customers directly by promoting service solutions that are in line with customer needs and expectations, using the sales tools provided
- Promote medium-long term Service solutions that grant customer loyalty by proposing multi-year maintenance agreements in line with divisional strategies
- Record the activities in the CRM developing and maintaining an accurate sales funnel, also taking care of the follow-up of the opportunities created with the aim of improving the win rate
- Build a network of key contacts and relationships within existing customers to ensure loyalty to our brand and gain timely insight into potential business opportunities within customer plants
- Support the network of ACV resellers and distributors helping them to align to the VTS sales strategy, promoting the e-commerce implementation, the connectivity and training them on the value selling proposition for service
- Manage leads coming from different channels (proactive calls, visits to our website, request forms, RFQs, etc.)
- Actively participate in marketing campaigns to promote products, events and initiatives dedicated to our customers
To succeed, you will need
- Minimum 2 years’ B2B sales experience in an industrial environment
- Based in Italy in the Cinisello Balsamo (MI) area (or willing to relocate)
- Willingness to travel across the territory (approx. 50–60%)
- Degree or diploma, ideally in a technical discipline
- Strong customer focus, with the ability to build trusted relationships and deliver sustainable value
- Driven and results-oriented, with a proactive approach and strong sense of ownership
- Structured and organised, with experience using CRM tools to manage pipeline and deliver results
- Strong communication skills and team collaboration mindset, with a good command of English

This role offers a hybrid working arrangement, allowing you to split your time between working remotely and being on-site at our office in Milan, Italy (IT).
