You join the Customer Center Service team and report into the Operations Manager.

Short Description

The Medical Gas Service Technician will be dispatched directly from their home to efficiently perform commissioning, preventative maintenance, fixed-price repair, and emergency service tasks for medical gas, air, and supply systems at various healthcare facilities located throughout the Greater Toronto Area (GTA).

Your day-to-day

  • Conduct planned and ad hoc visits to inspect, service, troubleshoot, and repair various medical supply systems including medical gas, medical air, medical vacuum, anesthetic drug scavanging systems and more. You will also diagnose any issues to prevent equipment downtime.
  • Perform installations, ensure safety compliance, and document activities.
  • Be the on-site contact, providing service recommendations and addressing customer needs promptly.

Your skills and experience

  • OSSD
  • 1-2 years' experience in mechanical and/or electrical equipment service
  • Valid G driver's license and clearn driver's abstract
  • Mechanical / Electrical troubleshooting proficiency
  • Electrical control circuit knowledge
  • Proficient in the use of hand tools, test equipment, metres
  • Able to read electrical schematics, blueprints, as-built drawings
  • Experience with CAN/CSA Standard Z7396.1-17 (Medical Gas Pipeline Systems) is an asset
  • Bilingual in English & French is an asset

Your compensation and benefits

We offer compensation that reflects the skills, experience, and responsibilities of the role. Pay also depends on the country where the job role is based, as compensation practices vary across our markets.   • $30.00 - $33.00 hourly to start

Your location

  1. You join a field service team that are dispatched remotely from home to customer sites, most of the day is spent travelling to customers within your assigned territory to support them on-site.
  2. You will be part of the Class 1 Service Team headquartered in Cambridge and Mississauga, Ontario, Canada. Travel to these offices is required occassionally for training and meetings.
