Your role

We are looking for a Customer Service Representative to join our team, reporting to the Customer Service Manager. In this role, the Customer Service Representative will deliver dedicated support to direct and distributor customers, field sales teams, and internal departments. Responsibilities include providing pricing and delivery information, processing orders, and supporting all customer service activities across multiple industries. The ideal candidate works independently, demonstrates strong initiative, and proactively identifies opportunities to enhance the customer experience and add value.
 

Responsibilities:

  • Be a pro-active team member, always challenging convention and seeking a better way.
  • Interacts with customers via telephone, email, online chat, or in-person to provide support and information on products or services. All responses (phone, email, chat, etc.) returned same day
  • Respond to customer calls and inquiries, process orders, provide quotes, etc. for assigned direct/distributor customers and support staff
  • Use of multiple tools, i.e., email, phone, various databases, etc., to perform the task
  • Support miscellaneous calls received through the department’s phone queue
  • Manage open order reports, expedite back-orders, provide updates to external and internal customers
  • Handle customer concerns and requests for Returned Goods Authorizations
  • Issue purchase orders via SAP to Atlas Copco product company and\or secondary suppliers based on sales order processing requirements
  • Support inquiries related to billing or services rendered; work with applicable departments to provide resolution to customer
  • Communicate with the company’s Application Center on customer orders and inquiries
  • Work in partnership on projects to aid continuous improvement and implement improvement programs (working practices, organizational change, business “excellence” or lean programs, other).
  • Support shipping and receiving activities
  • Additional duties could include purchase order entry and maintenance and EDI order support
  • All other duties as assigned by management

 

This position is a replacement role within Atlas Copco Canada Inc.

To succeed, you will need

  • Ability to communicate effectively across all levels of an organization.

  • 3-5 years of experience in customer service

  • Experience working with a distribution business is a plus

  • SAP experience preferred

  • Intermediate/Advanced Microsoft Suite, in specific Microsoft Excel experience

  • Demonstrable data entry skills

  • Proficient in general use of navigating and using a computer

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a focus on strong interpersonal skills

  • Attention to detail and timeliness with responses to inquiries, emails, phone calls, etc.

  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working at a computer

 

The expected compensation range for this position is $60,000–$63,000 per year. Final compensation may vary based on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. If your qualifications differ from those listed above, the scope of work and final compensation may be adjusted accordingly.
