Your new role will be

As our newest Service Planner (12-month contract) you will be the heart of the planning and administration of our daily field activities.  You will engage daily with our customers as you answer their inquiries, plan service jobs based on their equipment needs and provide excellent customer service on behalf of Atlas Copco. You will enjoy being a team-player as you interact frequently with our various Service departments, all with the support of the on-site Service Operations Manager. You can expect us to provide all necessary training on our service plans and softwares when you get started with us.

This position reports to the Service Operations Manager and requires in-office presence 4x per week at our branch in Mississauga. 

The main activities you’ll be responsible for

  • Answering incoming customer calls and emails and providing excellent customer service as you help them identify their service needs and apply the right course of action
  • Planning and deploying the service, repair and maintenance work and any other site-specific needs for your territory in collaboration with Sales Representatives, Service Technicians and the Service Operations Manager
  • Selecting the right Service Technician based on technical skill requirement for each job and proactively preparing them with anything they may need for that particular visit (training, drug testing, gate passes, vehicle information and any other additional information)
  • Preparing the required parts list and specialty tools (if required) and actively following-up to make sure they are being ordered and shipped for the required date
  • Set up the parts in our on-site workshop for the service technicians to pick up, or coordinate the shipping of parts with our logistics team to customer sites
  • Coordinating and controlling all unused and returned parts brought back by the Service Technicians and placing the parts back into the local inventory
  • Coordinating the issuing of purchase orders, ensuring they are sent to vendors, following up with vendor service delivery, retrieving visit report from vendor, and then finally closing the job
  • Monitor all open jobs that are marked as WIP (Work In Progress) and make sure to take actions to reduce the WIP time

 

What will help you succeed in your new role

  • Your minimum of 3 years experience in any of the following roles: customer service for a technical industry, dispatcher, service coordinator or service planner
  • Your comfort using the following tools: Outlook, Word, Excel, experience with SAP or a similar software would be a strong asset
  • Your ability to give great customer service, develop relations and handle customer concerns effectively
  • Your excellent communication skills both written and spoken in English
  • Your strong sense of responsibility and proactivity
  • Your well-developed organizational and time management skills

What we offer you

  • Base salary range: $65,000 - $72,000
  • Health, Dental and Vision coverage as of day 1
  • 3 weeks paid vacation, 5 flex days, 5 sick days and 1 floating holiday
  • Summer Friday Schedule from May to August
