The Industrial Technique Service Division is responsible for growing the Service business within the Industrial Technique Business area. We have a dedicated team of technicians, support personnel, sales force and managers, in place in more than 22 different markets.


As Software Support Engineer in our central software support team, you will support our global customers already during the project implementation phase. You will provide services within software maintenance contracts and you will be the 2nd support line for the 1st line technicians of our Customer Centers worldwide.


In this mission, you will become the connection point between our customers, the project managers and technicians in our Customer Centers and the R&D departments of our product company in Nantes. You will strengthen the existing team and other colleagues will follow over time.


Main missions :

  • Be a partner for technical and roll out questions for our product companies and support them in testing new software releases ;
  • Deploy software solutions remotely ;
  • React on alerts sent by the customer systems by analyzing and solving issues via remote access or by escalating them to the product companies ;
  • Process IT and performance reports from the installed systems and forward to the customers ;
  • Operate contract specific phone support lines ;
  • Document all activities in a ticketing system ;
  • Maintain a public knowledge base with product technical information and best practices from your experience ;
  • Develop and maintain the IT infrastructure in the global software support hub for testing and trainings ;
  • Support the product specific master trainers in increasing the knowledge level of our technicians in the customer centers by trainings ;
  • Keep your knowledge up-to-date by participating in software installations worldwide and by trainings in the product companies.

With a software engineer diploma, you are proud of being an expert in IT with profound knowledge in the deployment, maintenance, usage and troubleshooting of systems like: Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, Microsoft Azure, Workstation and server operating systems, Wired and wireless networks, Client-Server architectures, Scripts languages, CONNECT, CVINetWeb, Pivotware.

You have experience in developing software applications using Visual Studio, Windows Presentation Foundation and C#.

You have ideally already worked in a support organization and know how to use ticketing systems, Remote access tools.

You love to spread your knowledge and experience to others. You have a good command of MS Office and SharePoint, speak, and write fluently in English.

Location: The position will be based in Nantes, in the West of France.

Additional information: From time to time, travel is needed to fulfil that position.

You will report to the Global Operations Manager CPS.
