We are now looking for a Project Purchasing Manager who wants to play a key role in shaping how sourcing contributes to successful product development. In this role, you will lead project purchasing with a strong focus on value creation, and collaboration, and long-term sustainability - while developing both people and ways of working.
Your role
As Project Purchasing Manager, you have the mission to secure supplier awards that optimize supply chain performance and safeguard the sourcing policy throughout development projects. You ensure production readiness and play a critical role in new product ramp‑ups.
Project purchasing at Atlas Copco is evolving. In this role, you will lead that transformation by integrating purchasing earlier in development projects, strengthening governance, and increasing commercial ownership. You will lead and inspire a team of project purchasers, ensuring clear priorities, strong collaboration, and predictable outcomes.
Your key responsibilities include:
- Leading sourcing activities in development projects from early concept through industrialization
- Planning and securing cross‑functional alignment on sourcing strategies and timelines
- Developing and coaching the project purchasing team as responsibility and commercial scope increase
- Negotiating and awarding new business to suppliers
- Ensuring adherence to delivery plans and managing price evolution and engineering changes
- Visualizing plans, progress, and deviations using structured ways of working and digital tools
- Owning project‑related KPIs and ensuring targets are met
You will work closely with R&D, project management, operations, and category teams and report to Head of Global Sourcing.

We believe you bring:
- An academic degree, preferably within engineering or a related field
- Several years of experience in sourcing or project purchasing within manufacturing or industrial environments
- Proven experience of delivering results in complex, cross functional projects
- Strong commercial acumen and confidence in negotiations
- A leadership style that is inclusive, transparent, and development focused
- The ability to take ownership, make well grounded decisions, and follow things through
- Experience from global and matrix organizations is considered a strong advantage

Job location
Nacka, Sweden. This role offer a hybrid setup, with most time spent in the office while offering flexibility for remote work.
