Your role

As a Business Development Manager PTS, your mission is to develop and drive Power Technique Service (PTS) business within Kenya and the larger East African region. You will report to the Business Line Manager PTS.

You will

•    Prepare reports on sales and other business indicators as may be required
•    Provide monthly projections / expectancies in Orders Received and Orders Invoiced
•    Prepare quotations to customers for both parts and service
•    Carry out equipment inspection at customer sites and prepare repair and service proposals
•    Distributor management in the region, Support/grow existing ones to the next level (Training, tools, price list, potential vs Target, stock order)
•    Arrange no less than two distributor review meetings per year, per country 
•    Follow up on key accounts and key projects
•    Work closely with other sales engineers in Power Technique Business Area for support on leads, market intelligence and opportunities generated.
•    Create stock list and manage the reorder levels for all distributors 
•    Carry out competitor intelligence and update the activities/plan action plan
•    Recruit new customer’s, distributors/resellers to increase presence in all countries covered
•    Develop an installed base for each of the countries in our region, analyze market potential - grasp opportunities and elevate Atlas Copco potential
•    Develop a pricing strategy that ensures profitability, while staying in step with the market
•    Determine schedule, making frequent visits to existing and potential customers, distribution and re-seller channels whilst liaising with our in-house support teams
•    Identify potential new areas of opportunity to grow market share

  • 5 year of sales management experience, including field sales and territory management
  • University degree, mechanical/electrical with business acumen or comparable experience
  • Proficient in MS Office, SAP and CRM tools
  • Working experience in construction or mining environments is a plus
  • Experience in distributor recruiment and management
  • Strong communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills
  • Should hold a valid driving license
  • Should hold a valid passport
