Sales Engineer, Service
Your role
As a Service Sales Engineer, your mission is to drive sales growth for our Power Technique Service (PTS) within Kenya and the larger Eastern Africa region. Reporting to the Business Line Manager PTS, you will work closely with the engineering and service product teams to implement effective service sales strategies.
You will
- Plan and prioritize service sales activities and customer interactions to achieve business targets.
- Follow up reports from service and sales visits to ensure that identified sales opportunities are followed up.
- Prepare proposals in line with sales plan and follow up to get orders.
- Carry out customer visits in order to identify prospects and convert proposals sent earlier into orders.
- Receive customer orders and initiate delivery process in a timely manner.
- Coordinate with Supply Department and implement most efficient parts ordering and delivery routines, monitor delivery status for spare parts orders and update customers on revised delivery times.
- Make recommendations for stocking for local sales in coordination with engineers responsible for specific divisions
- Make use of fleet management data to forecast sales, identify sales targets and plan for stocking requirements.
- Assist capital equipment Sales in preparation of spare parts proposals to accompany machine quotations and proposals.
- Assist distributors in decisions on stock holding and assist them in use of Atlas Copco sales tools in order to increase response time, customer reach to improve efficiency.

- You have minimum 3 years of experience, working in aftermarket sales in construction equipment.
- Minimum Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical/Energy/Chemical Engineering.
- Experience in portable compressors and tools sales is an added advantage.
- Experience in effective territory and account management.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills.
- Strong MS Office skills and usage of CRM and good presentation skills
- Dynamic, flexible and proactive in nature.
- Self- motivated and able to work under minimum supervision.
- Should hold a valid driving license
- Should hold a valid passport.
