Mission

The Onsite Engineer plays a pivotal role in enhancing customer satisfaction by delivering exceptional service quality and technical expertise. This position involves providing professional onsite support, technical consultancy, and promoting our range of service products to drive service-related revenue generation.

Key Responsibilities

As an Onsite Engineer, you will be entrusted with a wide array of duties designed to ensure optimal operation of Atlas Copco tools and related systems, including but not limited to:

  • Perform independent installation, calibration, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of Atlas Copco tools and equipment to meet high-quality standards.
  • Manage installation, debugging, and basic troubleshooting of Atlas Copco software solutions, ensuring seamless integration and functionality at customer sites.
  • Implement tightening services effectively while adhering to technical protocols to achieve precision and reliability.
  • Develop and execute thorough service plans aligned with contractual commitments, forecasting maintenance needs to prevent downtime.
  • Conduct comprehensive operation training sessions to empower customers with product knowledge, enhancing product utilization and customer satisfaction.
  • Lead 'Walk The Line' inspections and compile detailed reports to monitor compliance and safety standards.
  • Collect and handle quality information related to products, process warranty claims diligently, and prepare insightful quality reports.
  • Address customer complaints promptly, facilitating follow-up communications and ensuring resolution of open issues to full customer satisfaction.
  • Foster proactive communication channels with customers, establishing trust and collaborative relationships.
  • Mentor and coach onsite technicians, enhancing team capabilities and ensuring the completion of service tasks with excellence.
  • Identify and escalate business or technical risks by raising red flags, enabling timely mitigation actions.
  • Accurately and punctually log work activities and hours into operational systems for transparent tracking and analysis.
  • Collect, analyze, and present KPI data to drive continuous service improvement and inform strategic decisions.
  • Carry out technical problem-solving initiatives and root cause analysis, preparing comprehensive reports that support long-term service reliability.
  • Support the team leader in managing service contracts and related administrative tasks.
  • Oversee management of safety PPE, fixed assets, and fire protection equipment to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Strictly comply with and advocate for Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality (SHEQ) policies, promoting a culture of safety and excellence.
  • Undertake additional responsibilities as directed by management to support organizational goals.

To succeed, you will need

To excel in this role, you should hold a college degree or higher in mechanical or electrical engineering, with additional qualifications in computer science, information systems, or software being advantageous. Proven experience of three or more years in aftermarket industrial product service is essential, complemented by strong skills in diagnosing, repairing, and troubleshooting mechanical and electronic systems. Proficiency with MS Office and general PC use is required, as well as good command of English for effective communication.

Job location

You will be a vital member of our customer center based in Nantong, China. Your role places you within a dynamic field service team where you will operate remotely and dedicate significant time traveling within your designated region to ensure prompt onsite support and customer engagement.
