Your Role
The Controls Engineer Co-Op delivers impactful and quality solutions. Atlas Copco is looking for someone to use and update Atlas Copco's standard products to support our industry-leading technology. You will work with other groups within the organization to collect, understand, and complete our deliverable requirements and support requests. You will report to the Controls Group Manager. You will work at our New Hudson, MI facility.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- You will complete testing on products and solutions in Alpha, Beta, or Production form.
- You will program equipment and scripts for proper functionality and scripted automation of operations.
- Update living documents for department inputs and processes.
- Active participation in regular Scrum Meetings to support our Agile work methodologies.
- You will contribute developed code into DVCS Repositories
- Create and release schematics for products and solutions.
- Support root-cause analysis and reproduction of reported opportunities for efficient resolution
To succeed, you will need
REQUIRED SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
- A broad-minded student with interest in solving problems and decreasing waste. Willing to respect the entire electro-mechanical system and understand the value and operation of each piece.
- You will follow a test plan and communicate results.
- Confidence in Programming of a recognized programming language
- Willingness to read or create electrical and fluid power schematics.
- Exposure to North American Safety and Energy regulations
- You will contribute in a global engineering community.
EDUCATION OR QUALIFICATIONS:
- Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or Computer Science from an accredited four-year college or university
