Your role
The Customer Scheudling and Support Specialist is responsible for processing customer orders via Covisint, EDI, and web portals, managing inquiries, lead times, and logistics coordination. Prepares and issues production schedules, ensures timely shipments, and supports accurate inventory posting in the ERP system. Collaborates across departments to meet customer requirements and reports to the Customer Service Manager.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

Processing orders via Covisint, EDI, and customer-specific portals

Responding to customer inquiries, lead times, and delivery updates

Coordinating with internal teams to ensure timely shipments and accurate routing

Managing production schedules and posting inventory to ERP systems

Monitoring EDI data and transmitting ASN’s

Supporting logistics: quoting, scheduling carriers, and verifying billing

Resolving credit issues, invoice discrepancies, and customer returns

Communicating with QA, purchasing, and operations on material and delivery concerns

Generating jobs, updating schedules, and ensuring adherence across departments

Tracking production metrics and driving improvements

- Bachelor’s degree preferred (Business/Supply Chain) or 4+ years in production planning
- Proficient in ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- Skilled in EDI scheduling, customer portals (Covisint), and order processing
- Knowledgeable in domestic/international shipping and export compliance
- Experience with Automotive OEMs and customer-facing roles
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Positive, punctual, proactive team player
