Your role
As a Manufacturing Process Engineer, you will be responsible for monitoring, maintaining, troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and improvements of various manufacturing. You will serve as an expert resource to the Operations team, understanding the specifications and requirements for our production equipment. This role is suited to someone who enjoys both hands on tasks as well as time spent evaluating data and developing improvements. You will work closely with multiple internal departments at our New Hudson facility and interface with our U.K. process engineering team to ensure consistency and common methodology across the organization. You will report to the Manufacturing Engineering Manager.
Essential Duties
- On site resource to solve manufacturing process problems.
- Provide technical assistance on troubleshooting equipment mechanically.
- Identify opportunities for improvement in productivity, waste reduction, safety/ergonomics, etc.
- Champion the development of tools and fixtures to support lean manufacturing.
- Research new manufacturing methods to improve process efficiency.
- Analyze and plan workflow, equipment placement and space requirements to improve manufacturing efficiency.
- Investigation and resolution of process and product deviations.
- Interface with manufacturing personnel to develop processes and procedures.
- Prepare technical documents to support improvements, processes, and changes.
- Support process transformations to accommodate new products and improvements to existing products.
- Other duties as required.

- B.S. in Manufacturing, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering preferred. Equivalent experience of 5+ years in process improvement may be considered
- 2 - 10 years hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment, required.
- Good communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
- Effective problem-solving skills.
- Able to operate effectively and efficiently individually and as part of a team.
- Ability to adapt and adjust priorities as necessary to support operations.
- 2+ years’ experience leading projects and/or working on small teams
- Ability to share knowledge and teach proper methods and procedures.
- Computer skills to include Microsoft Office products
- Ability to travel locally as needed.
- Must be able to legally work in the U.S. Visa sponsorship is not available at this time.
- Ability to safely move about a large production facility as needed, on a regular basis.
