Your role
As a Production Control Manager, your mission is to manage and incorporate planning, purchasing, customer service and continuous improvement activities to support corporate and department rivet operations strategy. You will be responsible for understanding of the requirements of the business, including all sources and distilling these requirements into a defined schedule for the operations team to work toward. Ensure that final customer demand is met on time. The Production Control Manager will be the main point of contact for internal customers regarding product availability and will use this position to set priority in the case of capacity or part availability issues. You will be reporting to the Operations Manager.
- Directly manage production scheduling for SPR Rivet Operations.
- Interface with project management, engineering, sales administration & operations planning to maintain a master build schedule for all rivet products.
- Assist all areas and functions of the business within Syspro, including PM scheduling, inventory control, daily production reporting, etc.
- Support capacity studies, global packaging, responses to customers and Syspro maintenance.
- Ensure accurate and timely orders to SPR Product Company UK.
- Lead and support continuous improvement projects within the company.
- Set priorities between competing interests to minimize customer impact.
- Work closely with buyers & production schedulers to define and maintain production schedules and forecasts.
- Work closely with Production team to ensure product is built in a timely and efficient manner.
- Responsible for management of inventory accuracies, including WIP and raw material discrepancies.
- Collaborate with Production team to schedule overtime when necessary.
- Delegate tasks to production scheduling team accordingly
- Other related duties as assigned

- Minimum 5 years in a manufacturing environment; high volume preferred.
- Forecasting, inventory, capacity study experience required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Excellent written and verbal skills.
- Familiarity working within an ERP system (e.g., SAP, Syspro, or similar).
- Ability to analyze data and produce metrics to track performance.
- A four-year degree in business administration, material management, supply chain management or a related field. Equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
- Ability to read and utilize a PC majority of workday.
- Ability to move about a manufacturing floor occasionally.
