Your Role
The Quality Assurance Technician for gages is responsible for managing the gage calibration system. You will report to the Quality Manager.
This is a 1st shift opportunity: 6:00am-2:30pm.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
· Manage all aspects of the gage calibration system
· Leads gage R&R activity for new and existing gages
· Enter requisitions in Syspro for required services and other QA supplies
· Track inventory of lab supplies needed for the equipment lab and rivet ops met labs
· Access customer websites to retrieve customer scorecards when they are available and summarizes the data
· Perform inventory movement transactions in Syspro
· Assists the Quality Engineers and Supervisor when required
· Create work instructions when required
· Support the Quality department with record scanning
· Support compliance with ISO9001/IATF16949 and customer specific requirements
· Other related duties as required by the Quality Engineers or Quality Assurance Manager
· Reports to the Quality Assurance Supervisor, Specialist and Engineer
To succeed, you will need
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
· 1-year experience performing gage calibrations and using gage calibration software desired
· Working knowledge of quality systems
· Skills with Windows and MS Office applications
· Experience with QDA and Syspro a plus
· Ability to communicate effectively at all levels, good interpersonal skills
· Organized, with excellent attention to detail. Self-motivated with ability to prioritize assignments
· Ability to work independently and in a team environment
EDUCATION OR QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent experience require
- PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS (AS APPLICABLE):
- Some periodic lifting (under 20 pounds) will be necessary
