Your role

As a Sales Engineer, your mission is to drive sales growth for our business by leveraging your technical expertise and understanding of customer needs. You will report to the Sales Manager and work closely with the engineering and product teams to ensure the successful implementation of sales strategies.

You will

  • Engage in face-to-face and remote sales to new customers, as well as cross/up/repeat sales to existing customers. 
  • Assess customer needs and suggest appropriate products, services, and/or solutions. 
  • Deliver sales pressentations and conduct product demonstrations. 
  • Develop medium to long-term sales plans and prepare strategies to protect, grow, and diversify relationships with your targeted customers.
  • Ensure successful implementation of sales strategies by leveraging your technical expertise and understanding of customer needs.
  • To work alongside and collaborate with other Atlas Copco business colleagues to effectively promote Atlas Copco products and services.
  • Achieve your specific job mission as set out in a separate document
  • Prepare and submit using ASR market tools competitive customer tenders and quotations, maintain effective follow up of orders received, and lost.

Educational Requirements

Possesses a UK qualification ,i.e. CSE/GCSE/ A level / HNC/ Degree

Experience and Knowledge Requirements

  • Previous experience in Sales & Marketing environment, with the ability to cooperate with others.
  • Previous experience in sales/rental sales of air, nitrogen and/or steam desirable.
  • A team player and natural diplomat who interacts and unites team members, customers, all stakeholders
  • A methodic and structured achiever who can plan, organize, prioritize, assess, adapt and deliver the promise
  • A resilient person who can cope with change in an ever faster moving digital landscape and who can spread this attitude of self-sufficiency 
  • Communication: the ability to express ideas, send, receive and exchange information clearly.
  • Understand and demonstrate an awareness of the link between their role and the business goals.
  • Able to positively persuade, convince and impress others in order to achieve results.
  • Good IT skills and competences. Experienced user of the Office 365 suite, able to work and use CRM’s software.

  • Able to maintain organisation, ethical and social values in all business activities.
  • General sales skills and marketing knowledge.

Job location

This role is fully remote, enabling you to work from anywhere within the region of North Yorkshire, while being associated with our customer center in United Kingdom (GB).
